New Collet for Parkside Router POF1300

by FROSTYNICK » Fri Jul 03, 2015 9:20 am

Would anyone know where I could get a new collet for this router or possibly one from another make that would fit. I did buy a 6mm Dewalt collet thinking it would fit but it doesn't! It appears that this Parkside model is no longer made and therefore no one seems to do spares for it.

Hi

Is that the Lidl own Parkside? If so, then it does tend to be a little difficult to track down spares when something goes wrong with tools of this type.

The best place to start is to try and establish where it was made and if other branded tools are produced in the same factory or neighbouring factories and this should give a clue as to what brands may be compatible as in a few situations common parts can be used between the different branded items. Do you have a booklet with the tool that may indicate where it was made?

On having a quick look, there is a forum thread here that suggests that they may be similar to those used by Black and Decker: http://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/park ... 45569.html

Hope this helps!
