Mira Sprint Shower Comes on and Then Switches off Minutes Later? Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

I have a Mira Sprint shower which was working fine until yesterday. It comes on fine and then switches off and it did come back on after a few minutes however that does not happen now. It comes on for about 3 mins then shuts off.

It sounds like there is a definite fault here. As this is an electric shower and water is obviously present I would say not to use it at all until you have had it checked out by an electrician (you can find one via our Find a Tradesman service here: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/find-tradesmen/)

We had something similar with a Mira shower a few years ago. I phined Mira and they said for the shower (think it was 10.8 kW) I needed a certain size of fuse in the mains circuit board. Told my electriacian about it. he didn't believe me, but ordered the fuse anyway, installed it, and the shower has run like clockwork for 4 years.
