by anthonydavid » Wed Aug 08, 2007 9:49 am

we have just moved in to a house that the last owners had ten cats.
The smell of cat wee is...well i can not say,
The floor boards have been soaked for years.
Is there any thing i can spray/paint on the floor boards to get rid off this really bad smell?
we are not in a position to replace the floor boards so any help will be a god send.
thanks

Hi,

Not Cat wee but man wee....

I have just bought a house from an old genleman, and the bathroom stunk of urine where, after pulling up the carpet, it looks like he had never managed to aim striaght.

Anyway the only way I managed to get rid of the smell was to pull up the wooden floor boards and replace them, also under the boards was soaked through as well.

Best bet is to pull up the boards that look damp let it air for a day or two to dry out and replace the boards for new ones.

Rgds

Tony
