Turning external lights on makes right light flicker

by checkmate » Sat Sep 19, 2015 10:03 am

Hi Guys

I have recently installed the below lights to my extension

http://www.diy.com/departments/lights-o ... 911_BQ.prd

I changed the bulbs to

http://www.ledhut.co.uk/new-5-watt-gu10 ... angle.html

But what issue i have is when i turn light on the right light flickers. When i switch off and switch back on, the left now flickers and rotates, left to right!!!

What could the issue be? is it the bulb ive changed it to?

The lamps are dimmable so will look for signals from a dimmer. I will guess some item is putting a signal on the power which is being seen by the lights as a command to dim. There are some silly devices which use the mains to transfer LAN signals around the house which it seems also upsets other devices reading the AC mains for signals.

If you used cheap non dimmable lamps likely there would be no problem.
