Releasing Guttering Clips to Replace Guttering with new Section?

by Wind Gatherer » Tue Oct 13, 2015 8:32 pm

Their is a guttering connector joining the two properties together.See attached photos How do I get the clip undone on my side so I can put a new guttering section up, if I replace the seal on my side will that effectively seal it or should should I put silicon sealant on the seal??
Thanks.

Hi Wind Gatherer,
We have a good article all about gutters and how you can replace them. There's also a video too if that helps:

In theory you shouldn't need to use a sealant if you have the right size clips, however in practice you often need to to get a good seal, or sometimes if can be tricky to get exactly the right clips. In this case you can use a special gutter sealant, like this one:
