Laying Slabs Against Painted Waterproof Foundations - What Level?

by mitchee1967 » Wed Nov 16, 2016 11:14 pm

Hi,

I'm looking to lay some slabs infront of an extention. The foundation bricks have been painted with a waterproof paint (see attached image).
Do the slabs need to be laid 150mm below the top of these blocks

Thanks in advance.

its hard to tell from the pictures, standard height of the slabs is 150mm below your door level, I would leave a 50mm gap from the wall to the slabs, and fill with gravel, this will aid drainage.
