Evening,
Renovating our first house - we're fairly experienced DIYers, but will use trades for skilled tasks.
We plan to create an open plan kitchen diner at the rear, which requires removal of a load bearing wall and chimney breast.
Builders will be used for structural works, installing steel etc, but we hope to do all we can ourselves to bring down costs. With this is in mind, we wondered whether removing plaster from these walls/chimney would help bring down cost of builder. i.e. Would they ordinarily remove plaster the dismantle bricks of just take the wall down with the plaster still intact?
Thanks
