what is the usual procedure for chasing a wall to run cables? can the wall be chased horizontally as well as vertically? what do you use to protect cables for plastering over?

Hi Tonik , chasing can be done vertically straight up or down to fitting and horizontily left or right from fitting , you don't need any capping at all it just makes the plasteres job a little easier . If you decide to run diagonally from fitting then the chase must be 50 mm deep at least or cable must be in steel trunking .. You can also run cables horizontilly 150mm from ceiling and vertically upto 150mm out from corners .Hope this helps Regards Jeff
