lean too conservatory open plan to old galley kitchen area

by markDC » Mon Jan 02, 2017 6:46 pm

We built a lean too conservatory about 15 years ago and broke through our old galley kitchen boundary by removing the small back window. We now have a large conservatory that doubles with the kichen to make a much bigger useable space. we kept the old aluminum patio doors to the living room. We are concerned now that the gap (98cm wide) needs to have external doors installed to meet building regs. As we use the conservatory as a kitchen we are very constrained on wall space. At either side of the 98cm wide space we have limited wall space of about 18" wide on both sides. Therefore we hope we can get eternal 2 door bifold doors built 457mm each which will then fold neatly against one wall meaning we compromise as little as possible on our existing kitchen layout. Is it possible to get external grade bi fold doors built to this small dimension? if yes, any idea of how much it would cost and who would be able to do it.

Any help gratefully received.

thanks

Roz
