Hi I recently installed a new basin in my bathroom with taps that have a plunger rod to open and close the plug. However when the trap is completely full of water it starts leaking from where the plunger rod goes into the back of the assembly. I have tried tightening the nut at the back and even put PTFE tape around the ball of the plunger rod but to no effect. Can anyone help in solving this irritating leak? Thanks
