I've just taken over my Mother's house and we have a large manhole cover set into the kitchen floor which is tiled. There is a hexagonal keyhole on each side. We don't have any problems with the drain yet, but I would like to get the right tool/s to raise it if needed, it has probably not be looked at for at least 20 years.. we are on a steep hill.. Can someone advise me what to look for and any tips on how to lift it? Any and all advice gratefully received.
