Garden Staked Spotlights and Dawn to Dusk Adapter

by yolly39 » Sat Aug 19, 2017 6:31 pm

Hi all,
I am fitting some garden lights (plug and play) I am putting 4 lights at one end of the garden and 4 on the other, and 2 in the middle of the garden. The problem I have is they will be plugged into the outside wall mounted box and I don't want to have to open every box to turn the lights on and off. Is there a dawn till dusk adapter I can attach to these lights and if so would I need more than one to control 10 lights altogether.
Thanks

In short I would say the answer to your question of "is there a dusk to dawn sensor you can attach to these lights" is do the makers of your lights make such a sensor?
Assuming they don't you can connect a standalone light sensor to the supply to your lights, but it would need to be securely mounted on a weather proof box and depending on the load of your lamps (you have 10) it may need a contactor. (the weather proof box can also be used to protect the connections form the elements.
