What's the Best way of Filling Hole in Wall Around Water Pipes Fillers, sealants and adhesives for all types of DIY work. Help, advice and information on all aspects of this subject

Due to a mishap (!) of drilling into a waterpipe that is recessed into our kitchen wall, a plumber had to come and dig out the wall to fix the pipe. This has left a hole in the wall that I now need to fill.

I want to make sure that I use the right filler as I don't want to do anything that will damage the pipes (corrode them?) and I want something that will mean that when the pipes heat up the filler does't get damaged as it will dry out.
