Have a euro barrel lock on patio door the key turns all the way round but the door will not lock is it the lock or is it the patio door ?

You will need to remove the euro cylinder in order to eliminate that as the problem. If the euro cylinder is operating outside the door you'll then know that it's a fault in the centre case of the locking mechanism (gearbox) Most gearboxes can be replaced but a few cannot be so an entire new mechanism will be needed.
