My single security camera cable got accidentally cut. Am I able to repair it/splice it? I tried taping them together with insulation tape but was very fiddly and not sure if it would even work or if the connections were made. Thanks

Yes you can rejoin it, but ideally you should solder them.

Shrink sleeve over cable before you start, cut each core staggered so they can't touch each other and solder then a little silicon sealant slide over the shrink and apply heat gun and yes can be repaired.

As to if worth that work is another question. I would look for new cable.
