Any kind, wood knowledgeable person out there that can help me?
I have stripped and sanded the interior of my large bay sash window, back to the bare wood. Everyone who comes round tells me how nice it is and i should leave it as bare wood. I myself lean towards painting it because i'm not really going for the rustic look. But want to try both ways, but without having to sand again. So can anyone tell me is there a finish i can use, that can protect and finish the bare wood, that if I don't like I can paint over without sanding again. My understanding is oil or varnish will need resanding before painting, And i just can't go through that all again!
Many thanks
