I tried to use our outdoor tap for the first time after the winter. The check valve in the house seems to be jammed shut. I tried to remove the valve but there is too much pipe inside the valve to be able to remove it as there is very little play in the pipe at either end. Hopefully the attached photo explains it better. I am not skilled enough to cut off the u bend and solder another so is there any DIY friendly product that would allow me to cut off the ubend, remove and replace the valve, and then refit some kind of screwfit replacement u bend?
