Candy EVO1683DW Washing Machine Won't Start Help, advice and problem solutions on all aspects of home appliances from washing machines to TV's

Hi all,

I have replaced the interlock door switch (genuine Hoover Candy part) on my Candy EVO1683DW washing machine as it was just flashing the door lock symbol when we passed the start button and starting a cycle and the consensus of my googling suggested this switch was the likely problem.

The new switch has made no difference and all I get is the door lock symbol flashing and the normal lights per the washing programme selected, no clicks or other noises. I've visually checked the wiring and connections and all seems ok.

Any suggestions for what else the cause could be?

Hi Dan,

Does this machine have a digital display?
Does it flash any error codes?

Or do some of the other function lights flash any kind of sequence?
