I have a small problem with damp causing some minor damage to a bedroom ceiling. The damp is coming down the chimney brickwork from a shared chimney stack but my neighbour is refusing to share the cost of repairing it. Can I insert a chemical damp-proof course in the chimney stack in my loft to stop further damp penetration?
