Hi Folks,
I have a pottery kiln that needs to be wired in by an electrician - (too big for a 13amp socket). It draws approx 39 amps. My consumer unit is protected by a 30ma RCD. It is a Tenby C series unit. Will the electrician be able to wire the kiln to the consumer unit, or will I need to buy further equipment? I am concerned that all that power being drawn every time the controller switches the kiln on will be too much for the RCD.
I want to get some sort of idea of what expense to expect.
