I'd welcome some advice about stranded bamboo flooring. My house was built in the 1850s, just a few years before damp proof course legislation came in force. It is stone built, and has no foundations, being built by a system called "corner pads". I expect there is likely to be some damp in the walls, though there is nothing apparent. The current subfloor is old quarry tile, not very even at all and currently covered with carpet. It seems dry, last time the carpet was changed there was no evidence of damp underneath. The room is approx 8 metres by 4. I have wanted a bamboo floor ever since I moved in 30+ years ago, but have never been sure if it is possible without a huge upheaval. Can anyone give me an idea of what it would be likely to entail and how feasable such a project would be? Thanks, Lola.
