Happy Easter Monday everyone!
I am renovating my 1900 Victorian house and the ground floor joists are not even: between the kitchen and the living room there is a -30 mm difference.
I am thinking about ideas how to lift the floor, which is going I to have 18mm P5 chipboard, 12 mm cement board and be tiled.
The only thing I can think about is sistering the joists, using screws +bolts.
Any ideas about other option and/or sizes of the building materials?
Do you guys think a 2x3" CLS is enough for the weight?
Since the room is about 4m wide (so the actual joists are) would you recommend to have a single support joist?
Would you agree bolts should be spaced 1200mm?
Would you think is letter toothed.or "squared at the base" bolts?
Many thanks everyone:)
