what size holes would i need to drill into the sides of my very low decking to allow air flow but be too small for mice to get in?

Hi Hooky,

We have fields at the back of our house and we had a persistent problem with mice under our decking. I was told that mice can collapse their skeletons to fit through a hole the size of a pencil diameter! I cut some rectangles and installed woven wire mesh screens with decking screws
