Wooden floor in bathroom

by honoroakpark » Wed Sep 05, 2007 1:36 pm

I've recently moved into a new flat with a wooden bathroom floor.

A few months on and now parts of the floor (around the bath) have started to go very slightly rotten.

Is there any way of waterproofing a wooden floor?

Or would the best thing be to tile over the wood? If so, can someone please recommend the best way to do this?

Thanks,

Jenny

Polyurathane varvish will seal it , if you tile over you will probably need to ply over it use 18mm if you can screwed at 150mm centres and use a flexible adhesive.
