Can anyone comment on the way this has been fitted? I do not understand why flashing has been used at the top and why there is a notch cut out of the tile. The job was finished months ago so I could do with some expert advice before i go back to the builder.

The top flashing should be under the tiles and the tiles at the back should be cut to allow them to sit properly at the sides.
