Replacing a 800mm Wide Radiator With a 840mm one

by nicoexe » Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:23 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to replace some existing radiators. I found a brand/model which I like but for 2 radiators the new ones would be slightly wider.
Radiator 1 is 800mm and would be replaced with a 840mm wide one.
Radiator 2 is 960mm and would become a 980mm wide one.
At the moment the pipes comes straight vertically from underfloor and I don't really want to mess up with lifting plinth, laminate flooring and floorboard to move the pipes. Is it ok to introduce a bend into the feeding pipes? Am I right to assume vertical pipes are only an aesthetical consideration or is there more to it? Many thanks for your feedback.
