Hi guys
I have a set of marble tiles 600 x 600 (27m2)each tile weighs 20kg. My concern is that they are too heavy unless the wall been prepared with cement backing boards? However the tiler says they are not required as the surface is fairly smooth and he will also apply PVA.
Do i need the cement boards for the wall? Or not. I realise it is an extra cost to buy the boards and preparation. The house is a 1910 with solid concrete walls although on part of the wall is a stud wall.
