Exterior Wall Mounted Lights and Tapping into Existing Supply

by Gooner100 » Sat Oct 19, 2019 6:49 am

apologies in advance for the stupid question. We have recently moved into a new house and i need to fit several wall mounted lights to the exterior walls. There are wires and plastic tubing surrounding the wires on the outside of the house, running into round plastic boxes (which i believe are the waterproof boxes). However the lights only have a short amount of wire into a connector box. How can i connect the house wires to the connect box while maintaining the waterproofing?

I presume you mean the lights you propose to install only have a short flex?
The plastic tubing is known as conduit.

What are the cables in the conduit currently connected to?

A few pictures might help.
