Positioning Acova Column Radiator Mounting Brackets

by davidac » Mon Nov 04, 2019 8:28 pm

I need to install some Acova column rads in a timber-framed house. Fitting instructions specify locating the mounting brackets between the 2nd and 3rd columns but in my case this does not align conveniently with the timber uprights. Is anyone aware of any reason (structural issues) why I should not locate the supports between the outermost 1st and 2nd columns? Thank you.

Manufacturer (Zehnder) confirm that this would not be a problem.

" it is OK to do that, but if the radiator is too flexible in the middle, you might want to get some extra brackets for the middle, however it is no problem for the radiator to flex a bit, just you might not like that. "
