Solo 10w LED Spotlights Failing Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hi all,
Two of the LED spotlight in the kitchen have failed over the last 12 months and another is now continually flickering. A further two failed this week but are now working again. The lights are solo 10w led lights - does anyone have any suggestions as to the cause? I think I’ll have to get an electrician in to look at it as I, concerned it could be a fire safety issue.

They look like they come from the lower end of the price scale, cheap lamps often do fail before "They should"

I did note one seller is offering a 5 year warrantee on them, but the next thing says "a new and improved version is available"

Which makes me think they have had a lot fail. But that said how can something be new and improved, how can it be improved if it is new?

I would just buy something else that you are happy with and change them as and when they fail. I would suggest you go to a dedicated lighting shop and have a chat with them.
