Worcester Bosch Boiler Loosing Pressure

by tyke » Thu Jan 09, 2020 2:45 pm

My wb boiler loses pressure even overnight when not in use. Is it safe to keep topping it up and using it? Thank you

To lose pressure either a leak, or the expansion tank has failed and when it warms up it opens the relief valve.

Either way it clearly needs fixing, however I found my Worcester Bosch worked with no pressure, always seemed to need topping up, likely one of the lock shield valves leaking, but clearly if too much things around the leak can rot, so even if it does not harm boiler still needs finding.

Thank you. We intend to get it fixed but in the meantime I was just worried in case it blew up or something as it has recently got worse.
