Permanently Disconnect a Gas Hob

by Jimbogarner » Mon Feb 10, 2020 7:05 pm

Hi,

I currently have a built in hob and oven, connected to 2 separate connections. I am replacing this with a freestanding oven/hob, how do I permanently disconnect the hob socket? There will still be power to it as it is connected to the same fuse as the oven.

Thanks,

James

Did not realise a Gas Hob had a fuse, I thought is was easy enough with a gas stand alone cooker to simply unplug socket same as one would do with an electric socket, however it leaked, not much, and so did not realise for a week or two, got a gas safe guy who did tests at the meter to see if there was any leak, no way could I have done those tests, so with gas no option get a gas safe guy to do it.

If it is not gas, then re-post don't want a post which can be read by some one else which can be miss read in the future, heading says Re: Permanently Disconnect a Gas Hob and that is not a DIY job.
