Non-uniform Paint Coverage on Wall

by Farcry1111 » Mon Apr 06, 2020 2:17 am

Hi guys,

I recently re-primed one of my walls, in preparation for a new coat of emulsion.

However when applying the paint, it seems to dry unevenly. There are areas where the paint seems to be 'less dense'. This is despite giving the wall two coats of primer.

I try to make sure that the roller is always wet and that the paint is spread evenly, nevertheless it always seems to dry a 'bit funny'.

Does anyone have any suggestions to combat this? Please see the enclosed picture.

Many thanks

Hi farcry111,
Looks like you are not maintaining a wet edge while rollering - the variation may be where you are going over part dried paint.
Thin the emulsion and work faster!
