L-shaped shower curtain rod with/without ceiling support

Hello, I'm trying to choose an appropriate shower curtain rod for my bath. It's a standard J-shaped bath in the corner, so I'm looking for L-shaped rod about 1700x650mm long. The question is, whether it's okay to go without ceiling support at the corner of the L?

I'd really like to go without it for to allow the curtain to travel all the way along the rod. However, I'm worried it is going to sag. Both walls are tiled, the wall at the short side of L is a solid outer wall and the one at the longer one is a thinner one that hides some water pipes going from the loft.

I'm looking at various products, most of them from Croydex, and it from the photos it looks the round fittings at the wall can't really prevent sagging. Is that right? Maybe could anyone suggest a product?

I know a rail instead of a rod can have a ceiling support and allow through travel, but I don't like this option for aesthetic reasons.

Thank you
