radiator and heating problems suddenly occurring

by Loonatoo » Mon Dec 28, 2020 11:03 pm

hi i am having an issue with my downstairs radiators. it just suddently occurred about 2 weeks ago. the issue seems to stem from the radiator in my passage which has a hot intake valve but the radiator does not get hot. I have bled all the radiators, balanced them and most recently emptied the problem radiator, which showed no dirty water, and refilled fine. As this is the first radiator on my downstairs heating circuit, none of the subsequent radiators get warm, either to their intake or the radiator themselves. the out valve of all the downstairs radiators are not even warm either. not sure what else i can do as rather puzzled. The combi boiler has the correct pressure and all radiator valves are open to the necessary settings. im thinking it is likely to be something to do with my boiler and its pump at this stage which i hope not as currently have no way of paying for a repair, so any ideas would be welcome

Hi loonatoo
Sounds like the pump is not working feel the pump when the ch is on and it sound be vibrating very slightly. If not try turning the rotor manually and if this doesn’t work you may minded a replacement pump.
