Advice needed on utility room conversion

by vic92 » Mon Feb 01, 2021 8:07 pm

Hi,

we have just moved into a property with a utility space, but the current setup doesn't make the most of the space. it houses the boiler, a sink and plumbing for a washing machine and space for a tumble dryer. there's also an alcove under the stairs that has the gas and electric meters, fuse box etc. there's a window in the alcove and one in the utility and some damp that needs checking. we would love to put an external door into the utility area and create a downstairs toilet in the alcove but don't know what would be possible due to all the items that would need moving. what sort of tradesman would we need to tell us what we could do? totally new to this. can anyone advise?
