Replacing edging stones and haunching on neighbours side

by Adamrawles » Sun Jul 25, 2021 12:32 am

Hi all,

Looking for a bit more information on what to do when replacing edging stones that run along the border of your neighbours property.

Currently neighbours both sides of me have block paving, and I would like to put new edging stones in as I'm ripping the existing driveway up for and redoing the hardcore, tarmac etc. The problem that has occurred to me is that when replacing the edging stones and doing the haunching I would end up needing to remove the neighbours block paving to do so. Any tips on this at all? Neighbours may or may not have an issue so long as it is made nice after so any words of advice etc are welcome.

Thank you.

Hi adamrawles
Suggest you write down exactly what you plan with drawings and take a copy to each neighbour, go through what you propose with them and get agreement from them. If they are multiple person households speak to everyone.
Regards S
