Access to drainage when installing free standing bath

by Sandra Billington » Tue Oct 19, 2021 7:09 am

Please HELP! We are having a freestanding “vessel” type bath to fit . The professional plumber has told us the the ceiling below will have to be cut to allow him access to the drainage and water pipes. Please advise if there is another solution, I can not believe everyone has had this happen just to fit the bath .

Hi Sandra billington,
Normally access would be through the floor but if say you have a fully tiled room already the cheapest option may be through the ceiling below.
