Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago, I've noticed these brown stains on the bathroom skirting, between the sink and the toilet.

My bf says it's just water splashing from the sink that damaged the wood but I'm wondering if it might be something more serious. Could there be a leak under the skirting board?

In any case, what would you recommend to resolve the problem? Can I treat the wood or does the skirting needs to be entirely changed?

Hi lucha.
Looks like you have a steel pipe running across behind the loo and this is rusting.
Suggest you clean it up the best you can and then paint the area using oil based paint.
