Bad condensation on window mullions

by simpy123 » Fri Nov 04, 2022 10:08 am

We have a constant issue with condensation forming on our bedroom windows and stone mullions. When we bought the house the mullions were painted with gloss paint. I removed this and painted with a lime wash so the stone could breathe, still didn't help. Next I added vents to 2 of the windows and this did very little. The windows, mullions and even the window handles are soaking even without the heating being on. This leads to mold forming and is a right pain in the rear. What is confusing is that the mullions in the living room below are OK (see pictures). Our neighbors have a similar designed house and they seem fine.

Hi simply123,
If you sleep with your windows closed this may be the issue.
