What sort of connectors are these, are they some sort of push fit that can be disconnected?

Hi mp3bbb,
They look like old Tectite connectors, they can be taken apart but you will need a special tool.

Aren't Tectite connectors always brass? these appear to be plastic with some sort of metal cap on each end.
