Nominal door lining size?

by Gavski1 » Thu Feb 23, 2023 12:30 pm

Looking to do my first door (762 x 1918) and need to give builder dimensions for the studd wall gap. I'm a bit confused with door lining size -
Nominal Size: 32 x 115mm (Finished Size: 27.5mm x 108mm)
So which of these will I get off the shelf??

Will I get the nominal size and have to trim it down, or the finished size?

thanks

Hi gavski1,
Presumably you are installing a standard 762x1981 door. Different manufacturers will use different thickness of lining timber so suggest you go to your preferred supplier and measure the finished and assembled frame size.
