Hi
I'm planning to repair the steps by my girlfriend's steep driveway. They currently have brick risers, in-filled with hardcore, covered with what looks like mortar and topped with stone slabs. Several of the slabs have come loose. They're not very old, less than 10 years, so clearly they're not well made and I'm going to have to repair them all in the end, perhaps on an ongoing basis. The steps are east-facing and quite exposed so I imagine heat as well as moisture might be my problems.
I suspect there might be a better solution than just slapping new mortar in and I think that might be to use a slurry to bond the slab to the mortar, but maybe a single product like Blue Circle Slablayer Plus would be better? It would be great to hear from someone with similar experience and/or knowledge of the best products and techniques to use. Thanks.
