Indirect Hot water System

by Terry R » Mon Oct 15, 2007 2:01 pm

I have a problem with the coil heat exchanger in my hot water tank which I think is either silt build up or an air lock. I would like to eliminate the chance of an air lock before I remove the tank and wondered if anyone knows how I can do that.

if you mean an air lock in the tank its self then crack open a nut near the top this may remove the air
another way is to let the tank cool down and force cold water back thru the hot taps and back into the hw cylinder and back to the cold water tank
this works well if you a mixer tap in the kitchen
