Plinth and pebble dash crumbled off

by Alexoj » Sun Aug 11, 2024 3:33 pm

Hi,
The plinth render and pebble dash is crumbling off my extension.
Is there anything I can do other than re-render (I don't have the time to do it myself or the money to pay someone else)?
Could I paint a hydrophobic breathable paint over the plinth and potentially over the exposed scratch layer of the pebble dash? I'm not concerned about appearance but want to protect the building.
Thanks

Hi Alex ok,
The pebble dash layer does nothing to protect you house from water ingress. Just leave it until you can get the pebble dash re-created.
