I got a new steel shed fitted recently with a concrete base, and a new wall across the side (between house and neightbour's boundary wall) of my front garden.
From the pics you can see that the shed has a tight enough fit where it's located.
There was no plastic dampproof sheet put down under the concrete to stop the water rising into the shed.
When it rains there is water getting trapped outside the shed on the left side. No water on the right side. This corresponds to the inside.
Inside the shed on the left side it 'looks' very wet. Maybe a week after the concrete was laid I put some sealer (acrylic concrete sealer) over the concrete. That week had been dry so the ground concrete in the shed was dry. Right now the left side looks wet, but the sealer has thankfully created a barrier between the concrete and the air above it so it feels dry.
Wondering if there's anything else I can do, both inside and outside?
I was thinking about maybe draining the trapped water from outside the left side of the shed. Maybe drill a hole through the concrete wall at the left and fit a plastic pipe for the water to drain out through?
The concrete floor inside the shed is a bit uneven so would need to be levelled before anything else can be done. But maybe the sealer will do the job just fine, but likely will need to reapply it regularly?
