L shaped hall and engineered wood flooring

by diydave » Tue Oct 30, 2007 12:23 pm

I have an L shaped hall and want tolay some engineered wood flooring. One part of the L is longer than the other.

Do I lay the floor so that it points in the same direction or do I ;lay it so that it comes to a 90 degree angle.

My guess is the first one which will mean that the boards will go across the way then straight down the hall on the longer part.

Many thanks

I would suggest laying both sections length ways because sanding a floor across the board is a big no-no.
Maybe make a feature of it with a 45 degree angle joint
