I've adjusted a lock valve on a downstairs rad as the next rad in the extension was too cold. The rad in the extension is now fine but there is a leak on the other radiator. I've turned the valve off and then turned it back about one turn but it is still leaking slowly. It didn't leak before I touched it!
Do you think it needs either replacing or repairing. I've read that you can wrap a special tape round leaking valves, how do you do that?
It shouldn't leak when you adjust it should it?
Does it leak because the pressure is wrong or could it just need replacing? Not sure how old the rad / valve is.
Thanks for any help.
