Pump on all the time

by tonybrentwood » Tue Nov 13, 2007 10:04 am

Hi,
I have a strange problem,
I have a pumped system about 8 years old, and the pump has decided to stay on all the time, even when the programmer is set to off on both HW and CH. The system is otherwise working perfectly. Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Tony.

If your pump is switched on by the end of travel switch(aux switch) in the head of your motorised valve, see Honeywell website for details of 'Y' or 'S' plan, it could be this switch that has gone faulty. I'm thinking you have a three way motorised valve as the problem is with both HW & CH

HI,
Thank you so much, I pushed the little lever on the motorised valve a few times and now the problem is solved.
I greatly appreciate your help- Thank you.
Regards,
Tony.
