radiator that won't turn off

by scoobydoo » Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:14 pm

I have a ladder radiator in bathroom which won't turn off! Heating is off at boiler, I have turned room thermostat to zero, TRV is on 0, I've even turned dial on boiler to Summer setting i.e. hot water only. Boiler is a Worcester combi 24i. any ideas?

I think your trv has gone and is jammed open. (The gel has gone in the head).

Close the lock shield and leave it for a while to see if it’s cooled down.

Make sure its not duel fuel.

The radiator may be connected to the hot water circuit, this was pretty common a few years ago and is still requested now to keep a warm bathroom and towels during summer months when main heating isn't being used
